Is this thing on? Are you ever on?

Kinda moved on to other things Zeus... Sorry man. Heck, if it's any consolation, I'm trying to get a division off the ground in Rainbow Six: Siege. You'll find me there. And quite interesting you point this out: I think the success of cadets to be retained here is for members that are already here need to be present to give off the message that this is a great place to hang out, play games and connect with folks. I will make a separate post about this in the near future to bring this to everyone's attention.

    Cockpit Rig

As Hannibal would say: Ooooooo. I like this, but the space I have left is enough for me to be comfy. Although it looks fantastically built, I doubt it has a low profile. That and I don't care about pedals. To solve that problem, I found this : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQFDZ41/ref=s9_acsd_simh_hd_bw_bXCUQt_c_x_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=26PC06T8EP2PZC1WQQAK&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=586240fa-990c-5a75-a0c7-3a2e107f4323&pf_rd_i=490596011 I like this, because my joy stick set came with suction cups that you can put on the bottom, and I plan on using those when I purchase these. Whenever I have a better situation later in life, and I want to invest, then I'll be definitely keeping tabs on this. Thanks AteamM!

    2018 Ships Status Listing

Marx’s ship/vehicle compliment: • Origin 325a Inderdiction fighter • Anvil Aerospace F7C-M Super Hornet Medium fighter. • Aegis Vanguard Harbinger Heavy fighter • Aegis Redeemer Gunship • Kruger P-72 Archimedes Snub fighter • RSI Ursa Rover • GRIN Greycat PTV

    Fighter Recommendations

That’s a great question, Oberon. Like you said they’re many choises to consider when buying another craft. I unfortunately can’t speak objectively when considering each ships cabability, since their base mathematical statistics (speed, weight, weapon compliment etc.) and the large amount of aftermarket modifications are not set in stone. What I can do is offer a biased choice: The F7C-M or Super Hornet is a dual seated medium fighter that has a rotating dorsal turret for the copilot to control and the pilot can control that turret when the copilot is absent. It also has missile capabilities and weapons that can gimbal, which make assaults to target connect easier. While it’s on board weapons suffer a size class (raw power), my philosophy here is it’s better to hit something than not be able to hit it at all, no matter the power. With the current state of maneuverability with craft, and in the basic control scene of mouse and keyboard, it is frustratingly difficult to stay on target without gimbal weapins. So, to wrap up, the Super hornet boasts solid firepower and has good survivability due to its speed and medium to light armor.

    Aegis Hammerhead

I personally like the Polaris a bit more due it's ability to store a small compliment of fighters. (Not a whole lot, but depends on makeup) This feels like either an attack frigate or anti-fighter vessel. As an aside, looks cool as always.

    Joystick recommendations?

Especially battlefield 4 controls. Man I wish I had that half an hour of my life back.

    Citizen Con 2017 Report

Idk about Aurora's being tough. I've had first hand experience of a Freelancer four shotting an Aurora with it's base guns (ask Ateam). I realize that this was in 2.6, but it is a ship that cannot withstand that much punishment if you wanna punch above your weight class. Don't do it. Please. I will have no trouble laughing in your face if you do so.

    Joystick recommendations?

I can expand on Konkalot's key assignings on the joystick for SC. I've played SC with the X52 Joystick I have, and I can say that it makes more sense to assign ship physical actions to the lower side toggles and ship internal actions to the upper side toggles of the stick base. The readouts and settings on the throttle I'll have to get back to anyone interested on that. Ship physical actions are landing gear and Quantum Travel as well as lights, mods, and special ordinance beyond missiles (bombs, EMP generator, etc). Quantum travel can be reserved for the left lower side toggle switch and clicking with throttle mouse button to engage chosen destination as an example. Ship internal actions are flight ready, power level management to what the player deems important in the moment, and target acquisition. Power management can be engaged by pressing upper toggle button on stick base on player's choosing and that would engage the select screen for setting manipulation from the nub and button on throttle (its a minature mouse). It can be intuitive, but the positioning is what counts here as described from Konk's difficulties. Hopefully this method of assignment helps those in the future. Enjoy.
